The Minutes That Matter Reaches Over 500 Students in Its First Week
Paramind Medical Ltd is celebrating a successful first week for The Minutes That Matter, its immersive knife crime awareness and education programme, after delivering sessions to more than 500 young people since its launch on 5 October 2026.
Developed to help young people understand the devastating consequences of knife crime, The Minutes That Matter takes a different approach to traditional school assemblies. Combining powerful storytelling, realistic scenarios, audience participation and practical emergency education, the production encourages students to consider the decisions they make and the impact those decisions can have on themselves, their families and their communities.
Reaching more than 500 students in such a short period marks an exciting milestone for the programme, with Paramind Medical Ltd now setting its sights on bringing this important education to young people across the UK.
More Than Just Another School Assembly
The Minutes That Matter has been designed to engage young people in a way that is memorable, thought-provoking and relevant to the challenges they may encounter.
Drawing on frontline ambulance experience, the production explores the reality of knife-related injuries, the importance of early intervention and the critical decisions made in the minutes following a serious incident.
The programme also incorporates the story of Charlie Cosser, whose tragic death highlights the devastating consequences of knife crime. Working with the support of Charlie’s family and Charlie’s Promise, the production aims to ensure that Charlie’s story continues to make a meaningful difference to other young people.
Rather than simply being spoken to, students become part of the experience, participating in interactive exercises and exploring situations that encourage them to think critically about their actions.
Taking Knife Crime Awareness Education Across the UK
Following the programme’s successful launch, Paramind Medical Ltd is now working towards expanding delivery beyond its initial locations.
The organisation is particularly focused on reaching schools, colleges, youth organisations and youth justice programmes across West Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey, Kent, London and Hampshire, with ambitions to deliver sessions throughout the country.
Suitable for students in Years 9–13, The Minutes That Matter can be adapted to different educational settings and audiences.
The production has also been developed to work without students needing access to mobile phones, making it suitable for schools and colleges operating mobile phone restrictions.
Our ambition is simple: to give as many young people as possible the opportunity to experience this powerful educational programme.
Funding Shouldn’t Prevent Young People From Hearing This Message
Paramind Medical Ltd recognises that schools, colleges and youth organisations are facing increasing financial pressures, often having to make difficult decisions about how limited budgets are spent.
We firmly believe that financial constraints should not automatically prevent young people from accessing important knife crime awareness education.
We encourage any educational setting or youth organisation interested in The Minutes That Matter to contact us and discuss their requirements.
If funding is a concern, please speak to us. We will always be happy to explore what may be possible.
Bring The Minutes That Matter to Your Students
With more than 500 young people already reached in the first week, this is just the beginning for The Minutes That Matter.
Paramind Medical Ltd is inviting schools, colleges, youth justice services and youth organisations across the UK to get in touch and find out how the programme could benefit the young people they support.
Knife crime is an issue that deserves meaningful conversation, practical education and opportunities for young people to understand the consequences before it is too late.
Don’t let your students miss out on this important message.
